Become a trained and certified Escort Vehicle Driver with 2020 CDL Training’s Virginia Pilot Training Program. This 8-hour, in-person class prepares you to guide over-dimensional/oversize loads safely while protecting the public, infrastructure, and cargo.

Format: 8 hours, in person

Location: Fredericksburg Training Center

Schedule: Offered weekly on a specified day

Exam Fee: $25 (separate; subject to change)

Course Objectives

You’ll learn how to:

Safely escort oversize loads while protecting other road users.
Prevent damage to highways, vehicles, and transported cargo.
Reduce traffic delays and coordinate smooth escort operations.
Apply uniform, professional escort procedures and communication.

Certificate: Upon successful completion and full payment, you’ll receive a Course Completion Certificate required for Virginia DMV certification.
